At M&M OUTFHIT we understand the vital role that nature plays in our overall health and well-being. So we have designed nature immersions into our training services for our clients. Not only do you get superior one on one coaching to address your own concerns and goals, but you also get outdoor events to help deepen your connection with the natural world, decompress from the toxicity of modern hustle, challenge yourself, and recharge your body and mind.
The Nature immersions range from workshops that lead you through techniques for a deeper connection, to practical skills for ensuring your time outdoors is safer and more enjoyable. We also have some really exciting longer term immersions (three-day and seven-day) to challenge you and bring home the extended health benefits.
I have worked with Morrison for over 6 years and found his skill, knowledge and philosophy are top-notch. His recommendations have become a routine part of my lifestyle. Coach Morrison helped me achieve what I never thought possible. We understand that COVID 19 has changed the way many people feel about interacting in groups, to accommodate this we are offering distance training/immersion options.
Fathers in our society face unique challenges, especially for those that are distanced from their children due certain social circumstances. Fatherlessness accounts as one of the greatest social ills in modern society. To help combat this we are offering specific Father and Child Discount. Dads, when you sign up for training or a nature immersion, your son or daughter will get to join for free. You can add a second or third child at half price.
Q; I have several injuries in the past and I am not sure if training is right for me. Where do I start?
A: You start with a thorough movement screening that will identify any movement patterns that may lead to greater injury, or reaggravate old injuries. We offer one of the most thorough movement screenings available to ensure your progress, safety, and enjoyment.
Q: I've already tried diets, and I exercise regularly, why can't I get rid off...
A: Each person is different, physiologically, psychologically, and with a unique history. Diets are nonsense that are based largely on one to two scientific principles that may simply not cater to your individual needs. We take the time to asses your unique physiology, and digestive health to get to the root of your obsticals, and move you towards your health goals.
Q: What is so special about nature immersions?
A: Our body, emotions, and mind are influenced by biorhythms. Biorhythms are key to our sleep-wake cycles, immune function, hormonal balance, and stress-recovery dynamic. When we become separated from the natural rhythms of the earth, our internal biorhythms become distorted, This leads to a cascade of behavioral, emotional, and physical health hinderances. Spending a specific amount of time connected with the natural world restores our biorhythms at different levels, increasing our ability to cope with stress, recover from workouts, and promote immunological balance.
Q. I have little to no camping experience, are backcountry immersions safe for me and my family?
A. As a Wilderness EMT I am committed and qualified to guide you safely in the backcountry. It is this reason I have designed the shorter, skills-based workshops, which serve to give you and your family the skillsets and confidence to enjoy more remote areas.
